They are constructed of durable galvanized alloy steel with dual-sided D-shaped links that provide exceptional traction and guarantee long product life in a snow chain that is both lightweight and easy to handle. Links are arranged to form a symmetrical single diamond pattern chain. Pattern chains are the portion of the snow chain that overlay tire treads, making direct contact with the potentially hazardous snow, ice and slush that cover driving surfaces during winter. The symmetrical single diamond pattern chain is ideal for lawn and garden style tire applications that require superior traction in that the level surface of these tire's treads also provide a level platform for the chain links. The profile of each segment of the symmetrical diamond pattern sits atop tire treads creating a uniform network of chain surface elements at different angles that contact slippery surfaces over and over again as the tires turn, reliably driving vehicles forward or backwards at needed, regardless of weather conditions. The appropriate tension of each section of chain in Rally's diamond pattern is ensured by a direct connection to side chains utilizing a special rounded U-hook connector that provides tension without risking damaging tires with sharp edges.

Easy Installation and Manual Tensioning

König Rallye snow chains feature traditional drive-on installation, and quick and reliable manual tensioning. To install drape chains over each of the tires to be fitted ensuring that connection hooks and tension levers along the inner and outer sides are arranged as far from the tire as possible. Allow the vehicle to roll just enough to drive over the chains. Connect the opening of the side chain running along the inner edge of the tire. The opening of the outer section of side chain is closed using the metal tightening lever which inserts into a link in the opposing edge of the side chain and is then pulled back, cinching the side chain tight. The lever is then secured in place by a separate link located within the side chain. Additional manual tensioning is provided by the tightening chain and elastic hook connector that extends from the side chain. Loop the tightening chain around the outer side chain where it meets the pattern chain, allowing just enough slack to connect the elastic connector hook to the opposite side of the side chain. Drive a short distance before stopping to readjust the tightening chain for optimal tension. König Rallye snow chains are reversible for maximized economy of use. Each chain also ships with open repair links that can be hammered shut or closed with pliers providing an emergency solution for broken or weak spots in a chain.
